Campo Malambo

2961 acres/1180 hectares, acquired in 2009
Project of Kris and Doug Tompkins
Entre Ríos Province, Argentina

Campo Malambo is perched on the bluffs above the Parana River in northeast Entre Ríos Province, an area unparalleled for its beauty and wildlife value. Campo Malambo was purchased to become an addition to the highly diverse, high-production organic farms already owned by Doug and Kris Tompkins in the area. The nearby Laguna Blanca farm, purchased two years previously, is already demonstrating high yields on a wide variety of crops grown in organic polyculture. Plans for production at Campo Malambo include instituting a similarly diverse yield of vegetables, fruits, grains, and domestic animals.
